The Hon. Harlan Grossman - Chair

Harlan Grossman

The Hon. Harlan Grossman is a Superior Court judge in Contra Costa County, and played a significant role in the development of Drug Courts, where individuals facing criminal charges for drug possession have an opportunity to enter a recovery program in lieu of straight jail time. In addition to his board service for HAFC-WH, he also previously served on the board of the West Contra Costa branch of the YMCA. Judge Grossman attended law school at the University of San Diego and subscribes to the words of Martin Luther King Jr., “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Victor R. Ortiz - Vice Chair

Victor Ortiz

Victor R. Ortiz is the Director of Organization Development at Strategic Project Solutions, Inc., in San Francisco. Prior to joining SPS, Mr. Ortiz was a global program manager for Cisco Systems and an independent organization development consultant with experience in a broad spectrum of corporate and public organizations. Mr. Ortiz was Program Director of the Freedom House Foundation, a therapeutic community treatment program based in Stockton, and became a lead consultant in program management for the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs during the 1970s.

Tamara Mason-Williams - Secretary

Tamara Mason Williams

Tamara Mason-Williams is Senior Counsel for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program, where she specializes in Labor and Employment law. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in 2001, she was a litigation associate at a San Francisco law firm for seven years. Ms. Mason-Williams received her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1994 and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991.

Stephen Bach - Board Member

Stephen Bach brings over 20 years of corporate finance experience to the board and is Chair of the Finance Committee. He is currently CFO for NEOS GeoSolutions has held key positions in Finance at Frito-Lay, American Airlines, Citadon, iReady, SuccessFactors, and Nimblefish Technologies. Mr. Bach was an instructor pilot and mission commander in the U.S. Navy, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics at UCLA, and an M.B.A. at Stanford University.

Deborah J. Broyles - Board Member

Deborah Broyles

Deborah J. Broyles is a Partner with the law firm of Reed Smith LLP and specializes in labor and employment law. She received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and was admitted to the California Bar in 1993. Ms. Broyles has received many honors in her profession and is committed to enhancing diversity in the legal profession.

Tom Christian - Board Member

Tom Christian

Tom Christian is a 4th generation San Franciscan and works in commercial real estate. For over 24 years he has helped both non-profit and for-profit developers and corporations purchase, lease, and dispose of facilities and development sites. Mr. Christian, his wife, and two sons live in San Francisco.

Eric Flowers - Board Member

Eric Flowers

Eric Flowers is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ramsell Holding Corporation, where pharmacy benefit management and technology solutions are provided to community based healthcare providers. He played a crucial role in transforming the company into a leader in ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance Programs) services. Mr. Flowers has used his extensive experience in public health delivery, contracts, and business management to guide in governance and operations at HAFC-WH. An East Bay business leader, Mr. Flowers is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and earned his M.B.A. at St. Mary’s College.

Graham Gunst - Board Member

Grahm Gunst

Graham Gunst is a marketing professional with more than 12 years of communications experience driving customer response through innovative, measurable marketing solutions. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he has worked with a variety of blue-chip technology and retail brands, including Google, HP, Cisco, Gateway, Lowe’s, Motorola, Nike and the U.S. Army, among others.  Currently Mr. Gunst is Global Director of Client Services for Acxiom.

Marguerite Meade - Board Member

Marguerite Meade

Marguerite Meade is a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from U.C. Berkeley and Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Currently, Marguerite is a senior attorney at The Davis Law Firm in San Francisco where she specializes in employment law. Marguerite has long been interested in health care issues, especially those that affect the uninsured, and has long advocated the philosophy that "health care is a right, not a privilege.”

Peter Sullivan - Board Member

Peter Sullivan

Peter Sullivan is President of PSAI Realty Partners, a private equity real estate investment firm in San Francisco. Mr. Sullivan has 30 years of experience in leasing, finance, syndication and investment in Bay Area commercial real estate. A third generation Californian, he earned his B.A. cum laude as an Independent Scholar from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts. A father of two, Mr. Sullivan resides in San Francisco.
