The volunteer program at Haight Ashbury Free Clinics - Walden House

Our volunteer program offers volunteers and interns the opportunity to partner with us in providing members of our community with access to high quality primary medical care, behavioral health and human services. We strive to offer a variety of challenging volunteer positions that will be mutually beneficial for both the volunteers and HAFC-WH centers throughout California. 

One of the greatest gifts you can make to HAFC-WH is your time. Whatever your background, skills or expertise, you can help build stronger, healthier communities.

What volunteer opportunities are available?

• Medical and clinical professionals, including: MD, RN, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, MFT, LCSW, psychologist, osteopathic physician, podiatrist, acupuncturist, and pharmacist
• Office support
• Front desk and receptionist
• Fundraising, development and marketing
• Residential substance abuse services
• Plumbers, painters, electricians
• Human Resources

How to apply

Anyone interested in volunteering will need to complete the volunteer application and complete our interview process.  Once your application is approved we do require that volunteers submit a current TB clearance and medical screening.  If you would like more information on becoming a volunteer, please click here to send your resume to the Volunteer Coordinator.
