As a merged agency, Haight Ashbury Free Clinics – Walden House delivers high-quality, culturally competent, non-judgmental, comprehensive services to vulnerable and marginalized populations throughout California. We offer:

  • Ease of access for clients at the single entry point. “Any Door is the Right Door” for treatment
  • Primary medical care to San Franciscans who are uninsured or underinsured
  • Fully integrated care for clients that includes gender-specific for residential treatment, outpatient programming, primary medical care, re-entry services and family advocacy and reunification
  • Employment, housing, and educational support programs for all clients
  • Substance abuse and mental health treatment for offenders throughout the state of California
  • Management of the post-prison substance abuse treatment system of care for parolees in Los Angeles
  • Triage and treatment at Bay Area concerts and public events, with the Rock Medicine program.

Haight Ashbury Free Clinics – Walden House treats 3,455 clients each day in one of its many programs. “Giving Hope - Building Health - Changing Lives” is the overarching guiding principle that inspires the staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality, compassionate service to our clients.
